TECH TALK

We all have technical issues we just can't seem to figure out. Use this area to ask questions, and hopefully someone will have a helpful suggestion!

I am looking for an nonworking A/B lightboard on which to teach my kids how to do the lights as we have an antiquated lightning system.

This might seems silly, but I just used a paper box top and cut slits in it. I placed large thumb tacks in the slits and the students could slide them up and down to understand how a light board works.
Happy hunting for a better solution!

You don't say where you are, but I have an old Dove 6 channel, 2 scene preset board/dimmer combo that I would be willing to let you borrow after UIL season.
The dimmers are built into the unit, so you could actually plug some lights into it.
These things were very popular with high schools once upon a time, so there maybe someone in your area that has one as well.

Thanks for your help. I am in New London, located between Kilgore & Henderson & would love to borrow the light board.

I am thinking about doing Wizard of Oz this fall in my middle school cafetorium. Does anyone in the DFW area have scenery or costumes I can borrow or rent? Or even just suggestions?
